The Tom Day Company is a family owned and operated construction firm based in McKinney, Texas, proudly serving North Texas since 2009. As a commercial general contractor and property manager, we specialize in office, retail, and restaurant projects.
We are committed to delivering quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and dependable expertise on every project. At our core, we believe strong relationships are the foundation of successful builds and lasting partnerships.
As a business owner and entrepreneur, it's very important to me that at the end of each project we are proud of our work.
I remember when I was 12 and my father would take me to construction sites with him, and give me small tasks so I would feel like a part of the crew.
As I got older, the tasks got harder. But whether I was 12 or 50, my father would always emphasize to me that it was the quality of the work I did that day, not the quantity, which mattered most to him. And that still rings true for me today.
TDC is a boutique firm by design because we never want to lose control over the ability to deliver a quality experience and product for our clients.
As your construction partner and/or property management choice, we consider ourselves stewards of your time, your money, your trust, and your project and treat them as if they were our own.
And this stewardship approach to building projects and relationships has served us well in this industry.
We've made a lot of friends, built and remodeled a lot of buildings, managed a lot of properties, and gained a lot of wisdom and experience over the years.
So much so, that I guess you could say we know real estate from the ground up. And we'd love to meet with you to see how we might be of service.

Thomas C. Day
PRESIDENT / OWNER
Tom Day’s passion for construction began at an early age in his hometown of Two Rivers, Wisconsin. By 12, he was working alongside his father pouring concrete, an experience that sparked a lifelong commitment to the industry. What started as small projects quickly grew into larger responsibilities, laying the literal and figurative foundation for his future career. To this day, Tom still considers a well-executed concrete pour one of the most rewarding parts of the job.Tom later relocated to North Texas, where he met his wife, Brooke. While building and managing apartment communities, he developed a vision for a company that would combine his expertise in general contracting and property management alongside his partner, Mary. On April 1, 2009, that vision became reality with the founding of The Tom Day Company.
Under Tom’s leadership, The Tom Day Company has grown alongside his family. He is a proud father of three and a proud grandfather to two grandchildren. His son, Siler, now serves as Vice President, continuing a three-generation legacy in construction.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his family, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, exploring local restaurants, and finding any opportunity to be on the water sailing.

Mary Montalbano
SR. VICE PRESIDENT OF PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
Mary began her career in property management in 1986 with Grey Cliffe Properties, where she first met Tom. Their shared work ethic and vision quickly formed the foundation of a lasting professional partnership and friendship. Since that time, Mary has worked alongside Tom at every property management company since, eventually launching The Tom Day Company together in 2009.
With more than 35 years of industry experience, Mary brings deep knowledge, steady leadership, and a heart of service to the team. She takes great pride in seeing how far the company has come.
Outside of the office, Mary enjoys going to country music concerts and treasures time with her family, her dog, and her sweet granddaughter.

Siler T. Day
SR. VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSTRUCTION
A McKinney, Texas native, Siler is proud to live and work in the community he has always called home. His love for construction began early at just 13 years old when his father hired him as a laborer during summer break. What started as a summer job quickly became a passion. By 16, Siler was working part time during the school year and full time each summer, steadily building both his skills and his knowledge of the industry.
After graduating from Oklahoma State University, Siler joined Pogue Construction as a Project Engineer, where he gained valuable experience and refined his abilities.
When his father, Tom, invited him to join The Tom Day Company to help lead construction operations, Siler welcomed the opportunity to return and contribute to a team he considers family. He now serves as Vice President of Construction, overseeing projects with a commitment to quality, integrity, and strong communication.
Outside the office and job site, Siler enjoys spending time with his wife and high school sweetheart, Alli, their family, and being outdoors hunting.
